It is a city that invites you to slow down, to lose yourself among silent calli and sudden fields, to follow the rhythm of the water and not that of the clock. Walking in Venice means letting oneself be guided by curiosity, observing daily life flowing far from the crowds and discovering, step by step, the most authentic soul of La Serenissima.
This is why we have imagined six walks, one for each sestiere, each with its own character, its silences and its stories: a simple and natural way to get in tune with the city and really experience it.
🟥 San Marco - The historical monumental heart
Start at St Mark's Square, the 'hall of Europe', with the majestic St Mark's Basilica and Bell Tower. Continue to the Doge's Palace, explore the Correr Museum and stroll through the Procuratie. Then cross the inner calli towards Campo San Moisè and Rio del Fondaco dei Tedeschi for picturesque views. Finally reach Riva degli Schiavoni to see the Bridge of Sighs and enjoy the view of St Mark's Basin.

🟦 Dorsoduro - Art and tranquillity
Start at Zattere along the Giudecca Canal (along the famous Fondamenta delle Zattere) overlooking St Mark's. Visit the Peggy Guggenheim Collection and cross the Accademia Bridge to the Accademia Galleries. Continue to Campo Santa Margherita, a lively meeting place, and discover glimpses of the Basilica of Santa Maria della Salute.

🟨 San Polo - Tradition and conviviality

🟩 Santa Croce - Venice less touristic
Start near Santa Lucia Station or from Piazzale Roma and head towards Campo San Giacomo dell'Orio, the hub of local life. Discover picturesque Fondamenta, ancient churches such as San Stae and tranquil views of the Grand Canal. This area is perfect for those seeking an authentic Venetian atmosphere away from the crowds.

🟪 Cannaregio - History, Ghetto and neighbourhood life
Leave from Santa Lucia Station and walk along Strada Nova to the Jewish Ghetto, a district rich in history with synagogues and museums. Continue to Fondamenta della Misericordia and discover bars and bacari frequented by Venetians. This itinerary offers a balance of history, culture and conviviality.

🟧 Castle - Space and silence
Explore the historic Arsenale area and walk to the Biennale Gardens, perfect for a green break.
